Vehicle Stock Controller - BMW Somerset West

Role Objective:

To optimise and efficiently manage the stock allocation and ordering to ensure Dealership & Customer needs are addressed. To provide administrative back-up to the Sales team so that Sales information is up to date and readily available so that a professional service can be offered to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source all vehicles for customers and optimise stock control of Dealership to ensure sales and that customer needs are addressed
• Load all vehicle information as stock
• Capture warranties on all new/demo and courtesy vehicles
• Manage dealership floor plan for new, demo and courtesy vehicles and pay all new vehicles invoiced by BMW SA
• Responsible for registration and licensing documents of new and demonstration vehicles
• Responsible for invoices to banks and other institutions
• Daily update of online stock sheets
• Battery care and maintenance of vehicles
• Assisting sales manager with DSP systems and orders
• Logging support tickets for any technical issues on BMW systems
• Checking new stock that arrives for damages and reporting such damage to BMW
• Storing and marking all items relating to new vehicles
• Generating purchase orders relating to work that needs to be done on stock vehicles
• Generating sundry invoices
• Weekly stock takes
• Indexing of sales files to be uploaded to BMW
• Ensuring that new stock that arrives is checked in with the workshop for PDI
• Ensuring that supplier invoices get paid in a timely manner
• Assisting sales manager with used vehicle reconditioning
• Attend weekly sales meetings

Requirements for the Role:

• Senior Certificate Grade 12
• Customer Service / Administrative Diploma or similar would be preferred
• Advanced Computer Literacy
• Must have own transport
• Sales and/or Administration experience within the Motor Dealership Industry essential
• Previous Vehicle Stock Controlling or Customer service-related position would be a distinct advantage
