Main Purpose of the Role: 

To provide effective technical and specialist support to staff, whilst ensuring a high quality service delivery to customers. Maximising service sales and profitability by creating customer confidence in the Dealership by providing quality service.

 Key Performance Areas:

  • Plan workshop production according to productive and available staff
  • Attend to escalated workshop (technical) problems accordingly
  • Evaluate all serviced vehicles (technical) and assist in ordering parts
  • Maintain good housekeeping within department
  • Manage training of all service staff
  • Provide feedback to all workshop staff on individual performance against targets
  • Control (WIP) work in progress on all vehicles in the workshop daily to acceptable levels
  • Manage risk (financial and non – financial) within department
  • Manage individual performance and develop staff
  • Manage and drive personal and professional development
  • Provide efficient and effective internal communication

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Qualified Motorcycle and Scooter Mechanic. BMW Motorrad experience will a distinct advantage
  • 5 Years’ Workshop experience in a Motorcycle Dealership (ideally at least 2 years supervisory)
  • A management diploma or certificate would be advantageous
  • Driver’s license/motorcycle license
  • Diagnostic Ability
